Other services: simulation technology

Reliably saving time and money

Today, efficient and individually adaptable simulation technology is a valuable and sound decision-making tool. Moreover, different questionings can be evaluated with different measuring techniques. 
The itap GmbH currently offers the following services in this field:


  • Sound and vibration measurements from infrasound to ultrasound; remote vibration measurements with laser-vibrometer
  • Development and construction of vibro-acoustic testing benches for the aviation- and automotive industry, as well as for basic research
  • Sound source localization by using a 40-channel microphone array (acoustic camera) in the fields of flow acoustics, machine acoustics and immission control. [The microphone array is from the company CAE Software & Systems GmbH (measurement method: Std. & Online Beamforming, analysis by using algorithms like orthogonal beamforming, MUSIC, Damas, Capon, SONAH (holography) and CleanSC)]
  • Flow acoustic measurement technology by laser-optic and classic methods. (We also apply these measuring methods in the acoustic wind tunnel of the University of Oldenburg. The wind tunnel offers speeds up to 50 m/s in a cross section of 80 × 100 cm. Due to the low own noise of the tunnel, it is also possible to do aero-acoustic measurements.)
  • NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness). One focus is the development of simulation techniques for the interior of road vehicles and aircrafts.
  • Measurements of climate in buildings (air flow, temperature, radiation temperature, moisture, pressure). Calculation of “thermal comfort” (according to DIN EN ISO 7730).
  • Quality assurance: Detection of manufacturing defects in the industrial production by acoustic and vibration technology as well as by appliance of other methods.
  • Thermotechnical investigations, e. g. the thermal impacts of pipelines on the environmental ecological system.
