Publication of the Experience Report Pile-driving Noise
In the R&D-project „Naturverträgliche Entwicklung auf See (NavES) [Nature-compatible development at sea]“, funded by the BMU and managed by the BSH, project period 10/2012 to 12/2019 (FKZ: 10036866), a cross-project analysis of all 21 OWF construction projects including substations and converter platforms from 2012 to 2019 in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the North- and Baltic Sea was documented. This report focuses on the technical noise abatement systems and -measures, which have already been used throughout (series application) in the construction of at least one complete OWF and have proven to be offshore-suitable and robust. The aim of the report is to give an overview of site-specific and technical-constructive characteristics of the noise generation and the transmission of pile-driving noise as well as the technical solutions using noise abatement measures necessary to comply with the noise protection values. The final report is available immediately. (pdf)
Note: This report will soon also be available in English language.
