OWFs Vesterhav Nord/Syd
Successful execution of underwater noise measurements during Monopile installations at Offshore Wind Farms Vesterhav Nord and Vesterhav Syd between February and April 2023
On behalf of DEME Offshore DK, itap GmbH has carried out a comprehensive underwater noise monitoring during the monopile installations in the OWFs Vesterhav Nord and Vesterhav Syd. Between February and April 2023, 41 monopiles were installed using impact piledriving. Out of all 41 installation procedures, eight installations required an officially prescribed underwater noise monitoring. The noise monitoring campaign was carried successfully by itap GmbH at distances of 750 m & 790 m in several directions to the respective installation location.
