Immission Control: Vibrations
Against harmful vibrations
Oscillations caused by vibration often occur close to construction sites, traffic routes and industrial plants. These vibrations often result in increased low-frequent sound immissions. Thus, parallel to vibration measurements, sound pressure level measurements are conducted according to prevailing standards (see more “Immission control: Sound”).
Due to high wavelengths, the origin of vibrations often is difficult to localize, for example when there are several similar machines within one industrial company. The identification and recommendation of measures for the resolution respectively reduction of spreading vibrations by vibration insulation are part of our services.
For the detection of vibrations, we use standardized geophones or acceleration sensors. With the obtained measurement data, we can derive and evaluate the required vibration velocity.
